The first half of 2024 is now behind us, and we look back on some exciting and eventful months. From January to June, we were involved in numerous major events, where our mobile access barriers played a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and successful execution.
Defensively strong on the fan zones: Our access barriers at UEFA Euro 2024 Throughout UEFA Euro 2024, we equipped the fan zones in Leipzig, Berlin, Frankfurt, and Cologne with our access barriers. Our mobile barriers ensured that the events ran smoothly and safely while football fans from across Europe followed the matches and enjoyed the atmosphere. Although the German national team only reached the quarter-finals, the time spent in the fan zones was an unforgettable experience for our clients, the visitors, and us. The excitement and sense of community during Euro 2024 were reflected in the fan zones, where our access barriers made a significant contribution to the safety and comfort of the fans.
Festival action with a safety guarantee: Our barriers at the rock highlights The festival season kicked off for us with legendary events like Rock im Park in Nuremberg, Vainstream Rockfest in Münster, SWR3 Open Air in Mainz, and Puls Festival in Geltendorf, where bands like Green Day and Die Ärzte rocked the stages and the crowds. Thanks to our access barriers Pitagone F18, SafetyClaw, and Oktablock TR, safety was ensured.
Hands-on security: A look back at GPEC and the Democracy Festival in Berlin With 471 exhibitors from 32 countries and 7,684 participants from 58 nations, the 13th GPEC General Police Equipment Exhibition & Conference® in May in Leipzig was an excellent platform for exchange and networking in the field of internal security. At our booth, we showcased innovative security solutions, attracting numerous interested parties and establishing valuable connections. For the Democracy Festival in Berlin, held to mark the 75th anniversary of our constitution, we provided the Pitagone F18 and OktaBlock TR vehicle barrier systems. The festival celebrated democratic values in a special way, offering a relaxed spring day to people of all ages.
From Carnival to Kassel: Protection and Fun at Carnival, Half Marathon, and “RTL – Die Passion” The vibrant and joyful Carnival parades in Frankfurt and Erfurt in February were particularly noteworthy. Our access barriers—FairGuard, Pitagone F18, and Oktablock TR—ensured comprehensive safety and protection for the festive participants and spectators. March brought two more highlights: Our Pitagone F18 vehicle security barriers were part of the Spiridon Frankfurt – Mainova Half Marathon, contributing to the safe finish of over 7,500 runners. At the end of March, we were on Friedrichsplatz in Kassel for the RTL production “Die Passion 2024”, supporting the live TV event with the Safety Claw, Oktablock, and Armis One vehicle barrier systems.
